Chronic pain - myofascial pain

Pain is a useful signal telling us that something dangerous happens to us. Chronic pain is often said to be unrelated to older events. The so-called pain-memory claims that the nervous system is wrong, signals pain now, when the cause is not here anymore. I think this is not true. The cause is still there, but undetected. And the nervous system has already become oversensitive.

In my practice I used to treat people with chronic pain, especially with chronic myofascial pain, which includes most types of back pain, headaches, shoulder pain, tennis elbow, osteoarthritis and others.

Chronic myofascial pain is always a complex situation, which involves the fascia, muscles, joints, the central nervous system, the hormone system, the immune system, emotions, and sometimes inner organs.

Chronic pain always builds up on initial events which could not be resolved by the body totally and have left residues in the tissue integrity to which the body adapts with the help of the nervous system. In most cases body posture changes, first restrictions in the range of motion of the spine and some joint occur, still without any pain. Then, other events happen, and, over time, the nervous system becomes oversensitive due to neuroplasticity, and even small events can activate former pain patterns, when there are still some unresolved residues. Pain is always related to inflammation and lack of energy.

Here is a short outline, how the methods I use can help resolving the causes of chronic pain:

1. Direct myofascial therapies:

TST:

Treats trigger areas directly in the myofascial system, causing the muscle to release tension and enable a greater range of motion. Muscle stretching and training becomes possible again. Painful, but very effective with the right indication.

FSM:

Reduces pain by providing energy to the cells of any tissue involved, and reduces inflammation as an important cause of pain. Releases muscle tension, better range of motion, stretching and training becomes possible.

miHealth treatment:

This is a TENS like therapy, which reduces muscle tension and inflammation resulting in better range of motion, stretching and training capability of muscles. Can treat disturbing scar tissue very well!

MELT method:

fascia self treatment for you to learn – will come in 2019

2. Indirect myofascial therapies, which do not treat the myofascial tissue directly, but the nervous system, the immune system, the hormone system or the digestive system instead:

PSE:

By resolving emotional conflicts, very often, muscle tension is decreased, range of motion and pain may be less. The nervous system, the hormone system and the immune system may work better.

HRV:

See the effect of constant stress. Find ways to support the parasympathetic and use as objective therapy control. Parasympathetic activity supports muscle relaxation and regeneration of the whole body.

Sensitiv IMAGO:

Detects inflammatory processes and their causes in all organs. Detects pathological bio-flora (microbes) in all tissues including ist biological activity. Testing of any supportive substance is possible (supplements, homeopathic remedies and many more). Bio-Feedback and Bio-Resonance therapy for restoration of optimal organ function.

NES ProVision

Detects distortions in the informational human body field. Infoceuticals can help restore the optimal informational pathways through the body to support biochemistry on molecular level. Often leads to muscle relaxation and supports energy production of the cells when used right.

As  you can see, the situation is complex, and some very good treatment methods are available. We will find out, how to combine those methods to meet your requirements best.

Treatments of chronic pain often require different directives including conventional medical therapies, physiotherapy, counselling, exercise, hypnotherapy and others. I am always happy to work together with other colleagues.
